The CMF Phone 1 is one of the year’s big surprises, but its lack of NFC technology doesn’t make it the best choice. For $150 more, you can also go for the Phone (2a), a more than exciting option. This phone has similar hardware but everything that CMF’s first phone doesn’t.
After giving some clues on social media, the company unveiled the presentation date of its next phone, one that, it seems, will share much with the Phone (2a). We’re talking about the Phone (2a) Plus, the company’s first phone under the Plus tag.
Talking about Nothing's launches is essentially talking about a path that's impossible to predict. The company debuted with the Phone (1), which was groundbreaking in terms of quality and price. The following year, it opted for a much more expensive Phone (2) with better specs.
The return to the quality-price path began with the Phone (2a) and continues with the launch of the CMF Phone 1, the first phone of its sub-brand focused on accessible products.
On July 31, we’ll meet the Phone (2a) Plus, a phone that we still have no details about. From the name itself, it looks like we'll be receiving a specs upgrade with the Phone (2a): The (a) label makes it clear (so far) that this will be a mid-range product, not a flagship.
There are only two weeks left until the launch this phone, a release that suggests the Phone (3) may not materialize this year.
