Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has undergone one of the most surprising transformations ever seen in a billionaire. In just under a year, the Facebook co-founder has shifted from being almost like an unyielding android who prioritized productivity above all else to embodying the image of the “badass” CEO. He now likes to complete his look with gold chains around his neck, designer clothing, and luxury watches.

His latest major transformation was evident during his wife Priscilla Chan’s 40th birthday celebration. At one point during the evening, Zuckerberg showcased his musical talents by imitating singer Benson Boone’s viral performance at the Grammy Awards.

An Over-the-Top Celebration

“Your wife only turns 40 once!” Zuckerberg shared on Instagram. With the permission of Boone himself, the billionaire recreated the same staging that the artist used during a recent Grammy performance of his hit Beautiful Things.

Zuckerberg arrived attired in an elegant tuxedo, fitting for an event where all the guests were dressed for the occasion. During the celebration, the Meta CEO took to the stage, flanked by two assistants who helped unzip his tuxedo to reveal the bright blue, skin-tight jumpsuit that Boone had worn during his performance.

The billionaire didn’t stop there. He even dared to climb onto the piano like Boone did. However, Zuckerberg is clearly not as agile and chose to jump down instead of performing a somersault in the air. His long-suffering shareholders were likely grateful for the decision.

Fortunately for his social media followers, Zuckerberg didn’t include the original audio of his performance in the video he shared on Instagram. Instead, he chose to accompany it with Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else by Boone.

Just One of Zuckerberg’s Jewels

The Zuckerbergs’ house parties have become increasingly common since the billionaire’s cultural revival, dubbed the “Zuckaissance”. With it, Zuckerberg aims to connect with the target audience of his social media platforms.

His wife’s birthday was the perfect excuse for him to showcase an exceptional luxury item. Zuckerberg wore a rare Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 6269, valued at more than $1.3 million. The accessory is a true testament to his newfound appreciation for high-end watches.

The Daytona 6269 is among the rarest and most exclusive timepieces, with only eight to 10 copies believed to exist worldwide. Zuckerberg’s watch, known as the “Jack of Diamonds,” was produced in the mid-1980s and was one of the first models to feature diamond encrustation.

This exquisite piece is adorned with 44 brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel and 240 diamonds on the dial. The hour markers are crafted from sapphires, while the case and strap are 18-carat gold. It’s undoubtedly a lavish indulgence that the world’s third-richest person according to Forbes can easily afford.

Ups and Downs

Zuckerberg’s joyful demeanor at his wife Priscilla’s birthday party sharply contrasts with the tense atmosphere at Meta, his other home.

The company is currently restructuring to enhance its development of AI-based products. Specifically, it’s laid off 5% of its workforce, citing underperformance as the reason.

Alongside cutting more than 3,600 jobs, the Meta CEO also approved an increase in salary bonuses for the company’s management and executive positions. Meanwhile, he reduced stock options for the rest of the workforce by 10%.
