At its most recent event, Apple introduced not only the new iPhone 16 and its Pro and Pro Max versions but also a new watch: the Apple Watch Series 10. The rumors are true and it looks like some wishes do come true. It arrives with a significant redesign and now adopts a particular aspect similar to the Watch Ultra from 2022.

New Materials and Redesign
The Watch Series 10 comes in two finishes:
- Aluminum (colors: jet black, rose gold, and silver).
- Titanium (colors: gold, natural and slate).
The highlight of this watch is its new screen, which is larger and has smaller bezels than previous generations. In fact, during the presentation, Apple compared it with the previous devices, specifically with the Watch Series 6 (2020).
Changes to the Apple Watch Series 10 watch compared to previous models:
- The 41 mm watch becomes 42 mm.
- The 45 mm model becomes 46 mm.
Its new screen allows, for example, an extra line of text in messaging conversations. This shift is similar to the one made by the Series 7 with respect to the previous generations or the Ultra with respect to the Series. Apple has also noted that it’s the thinnest the Series 10 display is the first wide-angle OLED display in the company’s history, further increasing the sharp viewing angles.
A Major Redesign on the Outside
The result, beyond the panel, is a stunningly beautiful Apple Watch. It’s the thinnest in its history, and the difference with the Apple Watch Ultra is even more significant.
At the material level, this smartwatch has a new premium option in addition to polished aluminum: polished titanium, which replaces steel. Both options are available in new colors, including a stunning jet black.
Also Redesigned on the Inside
The internal redesign has brought an element previously reserved for the Apple Watch Ultra to the Apple Watch Series 10: speakers. Located on the side, they allow you to listen to notifications, system sounds, music, and podcasts at a higher volume without needing headphones.
Of course, the S10 chip is the Watch Series 10 protagonist in terms of performance and power efficiency. According to Apple, the autonomy is still “up to 18 hours.” That means you can wear it during the day but not at night or sleep with it after charging it before bedtime.
And one feature coming to the Watch Series 10 is sleep apnea detection. Apple says this feature will be available in more than 150 countries.
Meanwhile, the watch’s battery charges faster than previous generations, with 80% of its battery charging in just thirty minutes.
Apple Watch Series 10: Versions and Prices
The Watch Series 10 will be available on Sep. 20, starting at $399. It will come in 42 and 46 mm, slightly larger than the current options (41 and 45 mm).
These are all its prices:
- Aluminum, GPS, 42 mm: $399.
- Aluminum, GPS, 46 mm: $429.
- Titanium, 42 mm: $699.
- Titanium, 46 mm: $749.
The titanium option always includes LTE connectivity, but the different straps may increase the price. AppleCare+ extended warranty coverage is also available for the Watch Series 10 for $79 or $3.99 per month.
