The design of this headset resembles the Apple Vision Pro.
Samsung Unpacked 2025 delivered not one but two surprises. The first was the teaser of the ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge, revealed at the event’s conclusion.
The second was Samsung’s augmented reality (AR) headset, developed under the codename Project Moohan. This device, aimed at competing with the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Orion, is a significant step in Samsung’s AR ambitions.
The headset’s design bears a strong resemblance to the Vision Pro, with some design elements seemingly inspired by the discontinued Meta Quest Pro.
During the presentation, Samsung highlighted plans to integrate AI capabilities into other devices, such as connected glasses—likely akin to Ray-Ban Meta glasses—and AR headsets.
Samsung also announced its collaboration with Google on AR glasses as part of Project Moohan. The device will run on Android XR, a direct competitor to Apple’s visionOS on the Vision Pro.
The AR headset were on display at the event. Xataka took some photos of the prototype. However, Samsung shared no additional details at this time.
