A “Silver Surfer” With Three 50 MP Cameras

The standard and the Plus models don’t have significant differences. The Plus model aims to provide a better experience while staying true to its known essence, especially retaining a mid-range price.

The Phone (2a) Plus features a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ screen, promising a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, which is helpful for outdoor use in bright sunlight.

In terms of design, the phone has 2.1 mm bezels on each side of the screen and wavy lines on the back with the cameras placed inside a circular panel.

The back also features the Glyph interface, using light and sound patterns to communicate information, even with third-party apps. The Glyph interface now contrasts with the new metallic “silver surfer” design.

The phone’s rear cameras remain the same as the Phone (2a), with two 50 MP sensors (see specs list above). However, the front camera has been upgraded from 32 MP to 50 MP.

Nothing has also upgraded the processor from a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro unit to a Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G. This new processor is manufactured using TSMC’s 4 nm Gen 2 process and has 8 cores.

The manufacturer states that the Dimensity 7200 Pro features a 10% improvement in performance over the previous chip. It also has a GPU that's 30% faster, which lets the user run more apps simultaneously.

When it comes to the battery, the device comes with a 5,000 mAh capacity, which is the same as the Phone (2a). However, the difference is that the Plus model features 50 W fast charging.

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Price and Availability

Nothing is a British company, which means the device will first be available for purchase in the UK starting on August 3. In the U.S., it’ll launch a few days later, on August 7 at 9:00 a.m. ET / 6:00 a.m. PT. It’ll cost $399.
