Amazon has unveiled four new Kindle devices. Among them is the first with a color screen.
Amazon has just unveiled four new Kindle devices, including its first-ever Kindle with a color screen. This marks the company’s most significant update to its e-readers. The new color Kindle represents a shift from the traditional black-and-white e-ink screens that have defined the product line.
Additionally, the company introduced an enhanced version of the Paperwhite called the Kindle Scribe, along with a new basic Kindle. Here’s what you need to know about Amazon’s latest devices.
New Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition. As unique as its name, the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is the first Kindle with a color screen. According to Amazon, the display is designed to “offer a color similar to paper,” staying true to the company’s goal of providing a visual experience as close as possible to the physical format.
It’s water-resistant, supports wireless charging, and offers a battery life of up to eight weeks. Its front light adjusts automatically.
New Kindle Scribe. The Kindle Scribe is an evolution of the previous model, featuring a 300 dpi screen and a redesigned stylus with white edges. Amazon aims to make the pen feel like a real one, with a soft tip and precise balance.
Users can write on blank pages, take notes, and highlight specific words. The device even integrates AI to automatically summarize pages and notes.

New Kindle Paperwhite. The successor to Amazon’s most popular Kindle is the new Paperwhite, which has been on the market for more than 10 years. According to the company, this new generation is the fastest ever, with 25% faster page turns.
The screen uses a thin oxide film transistor, which Amazon says provides the highest contrast ratio of any Kindle. The display is now 7 inches, thinner, and with a battery lasts up to three months.
New Kindle. If you want a simple e-reader, the new entry-level Kindle is the best choice. It features a 300 dpi screen, a front light that’s 25% brighter than the previous generation, and comes in bold new colors.
