Main Differences

Motorola Razr and Motorola Razr+ Top row: Motorola Razr 2024. Bottom row: Motorola Razr Plus 2024.

Both Motorola flip phones aim to provide a high-end device with strong performance and, in the case of the Ultra model, a super-premium option. While the phones are similar in size and design, the key differences lie within, given that one boasts greater capabilities than the other.

One main distinction between the two models is the processor. The Razr 2024 is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X, which is adequate for everyday tasks. However, the Razr+ 2024 features the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a more modern processor with superior raw power.

In most instances, you won’t notice a significant difference between the two processors–both phones are quite competitive. However, if you plan to use the latest mobile games that require high graphics performance, the Razr+’s greater power may prove beneficial. You should also keep in mind that this increased performance could impact battery life.

Speaking of battery, the standard Razr has a slightly larger capacity. However, the difference is minimal. Additionally, since the Razr+’s processor is more advanced, it may consume slightly less power overall.

The Razr+ 2024 comes with more RAM, which is beneficial for users who tend to have multiple apps open simultaneously. This additional RAM is particularly advantageous for demanding users who push their phones to the limit. However, for the average user, the difference may not be very noticeable.

While the main screens of both models are the same size, the Razr+’s external screen is larger. This larger screen may appeal to some users for aesthetic reasons. Additionally, the internal storage varies, with the Razr+ offering twice the capacity of the standard model.

There are also distinctions in the camera setups. The Razr features a main camera alongside a wide lens, whereas the Razr+ replaces the wide lens with a 2x telephoto camera. In terms of connectivity, the Razr+ is equipped with a more advanced Wi-Fi chip, which could be beneficial if you have a modem that supports Wi-Fi 7.

Overall, these two devices are quite similar. The Razr 2024 is considered high-end, while the Razr+ is categorized as super high-end, catering to more demanding users. For most people, the standard Razr will be enough. However, those who engage in gaming or advanced editing apps may find the extra capabilities of the more expensive model more appealing.
