How to Stop X (Twitter) From Using Your Posts and Messages to Train Grok, Its Artificial Intelligence Model

X (Twitter) will use your account information, including all your posts and messages, to train Grok, its artificial intelligence model. Here’s how to avoid it.

By default, X will use your posts and interactions to train its AI if you don’t turn off this option. It’s a bit hidden, but we’ll tell you how to deactivate it step-by-step. Notably, you’ll only be able to do this from the website, not the app.

Stop X From Training Its AI Model With Your Data

First, go to x.com and sign in. In the left column, click More, then Settings and privacy to go to X settings.

In Settings, you’ll see a list of options. Click on Privacy and safety to explore the options related to your account privacy.

Click on Privacy and Safety to go to Your X Activity section. There, on Data sharing and personalization, you’ll see Grok, which is practically at the bottom.

If you click on Grok, you’ll see a pre-checked option. All you need to do is uncheck it to stop X from using your data to train its AI.
